Description   18-1-White-WIRE - White Irrigation Wire 18 guage 500 Feet Spool   Features 18 gauge direct burial wire; single strand. Sold in 500 foot rolls. Professional grade wire for a professional installation. Red wire is used for the hot (positive) wire to each valve. One red wire per zone is run from the controller to each valve. You will end up with the same number of red wires as you have valves in your system. White wire is used for the ground (common) wire for the valves. A single white wire is run from the controller to the closest valve and then continues to each valve. You will end up with one white wire connecting the valves to the controller.
